Reliable measurements worldwide

The Centre for Metrology and Accreditation MIKES conducts high-level metrological research and develops metrological procedures for industry and society. MIKES maintains and develops national system of measurement standards and implements the SI unit system. Through our international network, Finland is connected to the international metrological system.

MIKES has facilities in Otaniemi (Espoo) and Kajaani. MIKES-Kajaani, located in the Renfors Riverbank Business Park focuses on the calibration of force, mass, torque measuring devices and the development of online flow measurement devices.
