CEMIS - the Centre for Measurement and Information Systems is a contract-based joint centre of the Universities of Oulu and Jyväskylä, Kajaani University of Applied Sciences, VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland Ltd. and CSC - IT Centre for Science Ltd. CEMIS specialises in research and training in the field of measurement and information systems.
Our focus is to develop measurement and information system competence in nationally significant application areas such as the bio economy, the mining industry, sports and well-being, and game and simulator technology. CEMIS employs over 100 measurement and information system experts. The centre’s annual funding is approximately 10 million euros.
CEMIS’ vision is to be an attractive international partner in cooperation in developing new metrological and information systems expertise.
